Oxit is an IoT engineering company in Charlotte that takes connected products from concept to deployment. Its work covers hardware design and prototyping, embedded firmware, connectivity over LoRaWAN, Amazon Sidewalk, BLE and LTE-M, backend platforms for collecting and acting on device data, and mobile and web interfaces, followed by beta testing, FCC certification support and over-the-air firmware updates.

Josh Cox and Peter O'Connor founded Oxit in 2016, and the company says it has more than 70 engineers. It works with utilities, manufacturers, logistics companies and building-systems providers on projects such as water network monitoring, school safety systems, smart buildings and asset tracking, and it also sells its own LoRa gateway and multi-connectivity module.
