About Dovetail Software Consulting

Dovetail Software Consulting builds new business applications and upgrades or rewrites legacy ones, covering web apps, mobile apps, desktop software, cloud-hosted systems and real-time data management and reporting. For oil and gas operators it has worked across leasing, drilling, production, HSE compliance and accounting, including real-time artificial lift systems that turn SCADA and wellhead sensor data into calculated values for thousands of wells. It also builds software for healthcare providers and startups.

The Houston firm was founded by developers James Fason and Hunter Wright and stays deliberately lean so clients work directly with the engineers. Its team's past work includes projects for MD Anderson and Schlumberger.
