About Planet Argon

Planet Argon is a software consultancy founded in Portland, Oregon in 2002. It focuses on keeping web applications that are already in production healthy: Ruby on Rails consulting, monthly managed support, version upgrades, technical-debt cleanup and fractional development, with some work on Laravel, React and Next.js projects. It also helps clients recruit Rails developers.

The core team is based in Portland, with more engineers spread across North America, South America and Europe. It supports product teams through every phase of delivery, from firefighting to long-term improvement, and the firm deliberately keeps its team small.
